Bernard and Mary Ann lived in Martinville which was a Civil War era Irish Shantytown located off the end of Hawk St in the bowl of today's Lincoln Park. (Beaver Park 1894-1916) in Albany, New York. (Martinville was demolished in 1910). Their first two or three kids were born there. From there they moved to lower Catherine St near Elizabeth, from there they moved to 318 Second Ave.
Mom (Mary Shields (Lenzenhuber))used to go to movies and weekly serials at the Eagle, she also won a competition there for tap dancing. Helen would go with Grandma
Moran (Mary Ann) who lived on 2nd avenue by the trolley tracks, the trolley man
would stop at her house and pick her up or let her off and let her cross in front before proceeding (Mary Ann usually slept at the movies) |

318 Second Avenue in 2012 (Over the bed of the pickup) Don't know if Mary Ann lived in the upper or lower flat. Trolley tracks are long gone.
