Iceland Animals
Migratory birds are plentiful
As well as Icelandic Horses and Sheep
The only land animal indigenous to Iceland is the artic fox. Sheep, horses and reindeer we brought over by the early settlers. Abandoned reindeer run wild in northern Iceland but Icelanders stayed with the Sheep over the reindeer which are widely used in northern Scandinavia. We didn't see any reindeer on our travels. The Vikings were not the first on the island, there were Irish hermits before them. If a polar bear manages to make it to Iceland, which is rare, they are killed.
