Bass Lake and the Balls area
Below Bass Lake/ North Fork area off Hwy 41 above Fresno Camp for three days on an forest service road. (Was closed off past me by downed trees and saw no one for the tree days)
I tried to get up to a rock formation called the Balls. The Balls are above Bass Lake on Beasore Rd. The road was snowed in at about 6650'so I made a camp at around 5500' which was below the snowline. I needed to get over about 7300' to get to the Balls. It was also snowed in the last time I tried . Mike and I got up to the area in February 2018 but didn't try to climb up to them. I want to kick California in it's Balls.

Damage along Hwy 50 from last years Caldor Fire. The fire forced us out of Loon Lake last August before it jumped over Echo Summit and into the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Lee Vining gas prices. I spent $5.799 a gallon at the Indians on Hwy 41 and $4.999 a gallon in Gardnerville Nevada. Weather around the June Lake Loop. I snowed lightly and intermittently from Conway summit to below Bishop.
I spent a night at Kevin's apartment in Garnerville. The bar at Sharkey's Casino closed by midnight and had been the last bar open that Sunday night. I also spent two nights in a trailer in Mark & Christy's in Vallejo. I slept in the passenger seat of the Jeep at Lake Isabella. (very uncomfortable) as well as the three days on a cot above Bass Lake. The final night I was back up at Kennedy Meadows.
