The three gates at the Black Rock Ranger Station in Sequoia National Forest are still locked although there is not a trace of snow at the 8000' elevation. Overall the Southern Sierra doesn't have much snow. Last year there was no snow around Troy Meadows but the area was flooded with the runoff from above. This year is going to be dry and burning.
