Owens Valley December 3-10, 2018
Clouds hanging over Anvil Camp in Shepherds Creek drainage
Mt Williamson and more distant Mt Tyndall at sunrise Tower is sturdy although nothing is connected to it
I needed to get out for a while and decided against my annual Big Sur trip since Barry couldn't make it since he was still recovering from his collapsed lung ordeal. I decided to do the shorter 100 miles up US395 to the Independence area. It rained on me for a day and I lived at the upper edge of a cloud/fog bank for a couple of days. I spent several days hiking and driving in an attempt to get to some horizontal mining shafts on a topographical map. One day it took me 2 1/2 hours for a 2.6 mile round trip hike over rough terrain I did manage to get Mya my Husky to the snow up Mazourka Road in the Inyos and up Onion Valley Road in the Sierra. The snow level on both before the latest storm was about six thousand feet on the shady or north facing slopes.
Owens Valley fog
C-17s from McChord AFB near Seattle heading north. (More than half a dozen in a stream)
A Jesus supporter in an E.L.F. Found Mya some snow on Mazourka Road
