My camp Scot's camp across the road
The RV was out for Tuesday and Wednesday nights but they went back to Ridgecrest for New Years Eve on Thursday. Dave showed up New Years day. On Wednesday, Scot, Tyler, Brenndon and myself brought both Jeeps to Darwin, then down the wash to China Garden and out below Darwin Falls. I forgot to bring the camera for pictures of the fish at China Garden Springs. Tyler and Brenndon were late getting back to camp because they pole-vaulted over near Indian Ranch. The tow bar on the 96 Cherokee came loose and hit the soft dirt road while the very driving. The back wheels came off the ground, luckily no one was hurt. When we got back to camp Shawna, Patience and a friend of Tyler's were there. Latter that day Tyler took his friend Tanner to the Emergency Room in Ridgecrest because he had gone over the handle bars on the quad and broke his collar bone. Years ago Patience had broken her collar bone on the same quad.

Dave at the World Beater Mine World Beater Mine Cabin
The Road from Clair Camp to the World Beater Mine was not maintained as well as the road getting up to Clair Camp. The road from the cabin to the actual mine site was even worse. We parked near the site and walked up the road a ways past it. The dogs even ignored each other for a while when they were looking down at four burros.
The road above the mine site with the dogs looking over the edge The cabin didn't have any beds but was clean, there was an outhouse rodents frequented
There was a little water down around Warm Sulfur Spring near Indian Ranch. There had been nothing but salt flats a couple of months ago.
My annual camping in Panamint Valley for New Years turned out well. For the week there was no wind to speak of and no rain until we were packing up to go. Then we caught about a 1/2 hour of light rain. It snowed the day we left at the higher elevations. We turned back while exploring South Park because I didn't like the severity of the road especially while driving my relatively new Jeep. We explored a canyon up near the Limestone Mine off Nadeau Road that had spots that made me a little uncomfortable. The weather which dipped into the mid teens at night, raised until it didn't even get below freezing the last night we were there. Days that had been sunny turned cloudy near the end of the trip.
