Yosemite February 3-14, 2014
Ribbon Falls and El Capitan
I towed the Jeep behind the camper and paid for 11 nights in Yosemite. The first and last in the Wawona campground and the other 9 in the valley. One night I spent in Vallejo visiting old friends. (Cost me $10 to keep the camper at Yosemite that night). Mike & Vickie were in Yosemite Valley for 7 nights in their 5th wheel and Barry tent camped 4 nights. I came in 41, out 140 to Vallejo and back in on 120. Got to see some of the damage from last summer's Rim Fire along 120 and the road to Hetch Hetchy. I also got to see how low Lake Don Pedro and Hetch Hetchy are due to the continuing drought. It snowed a little one night then rained for two days and melted all the snow up to about 6000'. After that the weather was good.
South Fork Merced River (Wawona Campground) Hetch Hetchy (San Francisco's water supply)
Barry at Tunnel View (Was called Discovery View at one time) Mya crossing Tenaya Creek
Towards the mouth of the Valley (from the 4 mile trail) Yosemite Falls (from the 4 mile trail)
The deer have no fear. (Even of my Husky Mya on a leash and barking at them, does included) Checked out the damage from The Rim of the World fire (2013). Found monuments to fallen fire fighters
