Search for the Mobius Arch (Sage Flats, Alabama Hills, Great Falls Basin) March 4-7 2014
Mount Whitney through the Mobius Arch (Alabama Hills Arch)
Actually the arch is not hard to find. Down 1 1/2 miles on Movie Flats Rd from Whitney Portal Rd is a dirt parking area with a well marked trail to follow. Originally I wanted a sunrise picture but from my camp a few hundred yards from the parking lot I could see 5 people out at the arch around sunrise. Sunrise sucked, no real color and Whitney was obscured by clouds for much of the morning.

Went through Darwin and down the 4 wheel drive road to China Garden and out to Panamint Springs .About 15 miles including a 2 mile diversion for China Garden Spring took about 2 hours.
Camp at the mouth of Great Falls Basin	Mya in pool near base of lowest falls (The water then drops below ground)
