12,000' Olancha Peak from Granite Knob
I needed to get out of the 103-108 degree temperatures around home and went up to 8400' around Granite Knob in the Sequoia National Forest. (about a 70 mile drive up 9 Mile Canyon, through Kennedy Meadows and past Black Rock Ranger Station and Monache Jeep Trail) The daytime temps were in the mid 80s while the nights got down to the low 50's a refreshing change.
