| Owens can be climbed by a trail from the end of
Indian Wells Canyon, starting at about 5400'. I have also
climbed it from taking the Pacific Crest Trail from Walker Pass
(~5200') ten miles or more to the saddle between Jenkins &
Owens, then bushwhacking over to pick up the trail coming up out
of the canyon. The 2 or 3 mile route from the canyon is by far
the easier. |
