The 100 year bloom occurred in Death Valley in March of 2005. I went and took hundreds of pictures and somehow lost all the memory on the way home. I went back again and took hundreds more but it seemed like it had peaked the previous trip a week before.

This rock had taken a right angle turn Catamaran rock (double trail)
Tea Kettle Junction Crankshaft Crossing (Just before you exit the north end of Death Valley into Eureka Valley)
Ubehebe Crater (Magma heated steam explosion 500' deep 1/2 mile wide only about 2000 years old) A smaller steam blasted crater on the flank of the main crater
